TCU will celebrate its landmark year at the All Western Stock Show Parade Saturday. During TCU鈥檚 150th anniversary, the beloved parade 鈥 born in 1896 鈥 is almost as old as the university itself. Seems an ideal time to turn it purple.

The opening parade of the Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo is scheduled to feature a number of entries from TCU:

  • Head TCU Football Coach Sonny Dykes
  • TCU Rifle
  • TCU Horned Frog Marching Band
  • Starpoint students and families
  • KinderFrogs students and families

The parade will begin at 11 a.m. downtown Fort Worth and make its way through the city center streets. Reserved seating is offered for advance purchase. For a parade map, ticket availability and more information, .

The event is returning after a two-year hiatus, one due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the other due to strong winds. Winter weather has notoriously stalked the parade, but this year, according to The Weather Channel, the forecast calls for partly cloudy skies and a high of 63 degrees.

It鈥檚 a great time to be in Fort Worth and, always, a great time to be a Horned Frog.
